Pilates, when it's done well, is the slowest sport in the room. The reformer is a machine that rewards patience — small adjustments, careful breath, an honest look at where the body actually is today. 皮拉提斯做得對,是房間裡最慢的運動。Reformer 獎勵耐心 — 細微的調整、誠實的呼吸、認真看看身體今天的位置。

Align Studio began with a question: why does most reformer Pilates feel like a fitness class on machines? Six bodies, one teacher, music loud enough to mask the breath. The reformer deserves more attention than that. Align Studio 起於一個問題:為什麼大部分的器械皮拉提斯,感覺像是搬到機器上的健身團課?六個身體、一位老師、音樂大到蓋過呼吸。Reformer 值得更多的注意力。

We chose a different path: one student at a time, sixty minutes, no packages forced before a first conversation. We don't run our own studio space — instead, we partner with two well-loved yoga rooms in Changhua and Yunlin so our students can practice in light-filled, lived-in places, not a brand showroom. 於是我們選擇了另一條路:一次一位學員、六十分鐘、第一次對話之前不強推任何方案。我們不蓋自己的場館 — 而是與兩間我們真心喜歡的瑜伽教室合作(彰化田中與雲林斗六),讓學員在採光好、有生活感的空間裡練習,而非品牌樣板間。

Assessment, then movement.先評估,再練習。

Every new student gets a full posture and movement screening before any exercise is prescribed. We need to see the body before we teach it.每位新學員開課前完成完整體態與動作評估。教身體之前,先看清楚這個身體。

A slower, more clinical version of the practice — coordinated with your physiotherapist where relevant. Heavy on assessment, light on load. The reformer becomes a tool for re-patterning rather than training.更慢、更臨床的版本 — 必要時與物理治療師協作。評估比重高、負荷比重低。Reformer 成為重新建立動作模式的工具,而非訓練機器。

  • Yes — most of our students arrived as beginners. Your first session is a full assessment: posture, range, breath, history. We build from there. The reformer scales easily for any level.可以 — 我們多數學員都是從零開始的。你的第一堂是完整的評估:體態、活動度、呼吸、過往史。我們由此開始。Reformer 對任何程度都可調整。
